Green Chef has always been about making dinner work for you. Your schedule. Your preferences. We know that eating isn’t a one-size-fits-all affair. It’s about what feels right for your body. Often, it’s about trying out something new to discover what feels right. That’s why it’s been a priority for us to offer a range of menus from day one.
We currently offer menus dedicated to gluten-free, vegetarian, and paleo eaters, among others. And starting the week of June 6, we’ll be delivering a menu for vegan eaters, too — or rather, a vegan menu for vegans and non-vegans alike. From increased energy to brighter skin, the reported benefits of eating a plant-based diet are many. We’re thrilled to support those already eating vegan, and to help others explore this nourishing, plant-based diet.
So, how will Green Chef “do” vegan? Like we do everything else: with creativity, and a deep focus on both flavor and nutrition. Expect clean, whole foods. Expect to learn something new. Expect to feel satisfied, not stuffed. And expect more than just salads.
Green Chef’s vegan menu is 100% free of animal products and byproducts. Our recipes reveal a world of flavor and texture in nutrient-dense, plant-based ingredients. We keep the focus on the veggies and stick to minimally processed foods, but will utilize traditional alternatives like tofu, seitan, and tempeh. We also bring protein into meals through the likes of quinoa, beans, and chia seeds.
We’re confident that vegans, the vegan-curious, and the dining-with-vegans will all find cooking vegan with Green Chef delicious, delightful, and rewarding. Oh, and our new vegan chef, Alan Roettinger, wrote the book on quick vegan recipes (literally), so expect to get the good stuff on the table in just about 30 minutes.
