Getting Saucy: Vegan Alfredo

We don’t create vegan fare by simply eliminating animal products from recipes. Our sauces follow that same philosophy and are crafted with flavor in mind. Get all the comfort of pasta Alfredo with this vegan sauce. Here, it’s made with tofu, almond milk, and a vegan Worcestershire for rich, creamy flavors.

 

Vegan Alfredo Sauce

1 ½ teaspoons garlic, minced
¼ cup yellow onion, diced
2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
2 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
¼ cup almond milk, unsweetened
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 ½ teaspoons vegan worcestershire
⅓ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Pinch nutmeg, ground
1 cup soft tofu, crumbled

Combine all ingredients except tofu in a blender. Mix on medium speed for 30 seconds. While blender is running, slowly crumble in tofu.
